Your appointment will consist of a personal assessment before we start with any type of massage. We will then review
what to expect during your session. I will work with you to customize your massage according to your needs.
Your personal health history and session information will remain confidential; however, your health history belongs to
you and can be sent to other health professionals at your written request.
A massage therapist should always help to make you feel comfortable before, during, and after your massage. Before
your massage, once we have completed your assessment, I will step out of the room so that you can get comfortable on the table.
Many people ask what clothing they should take off prior to a massage. The answer is solely up to the client.
Most of the time clients will undress down to their undergarments, others will undress down to nothing at all. If undressing
makes you uncomfortable all together, then a fully clothed massage (either on the massage table or massage chair) is an option
as well.
During your session, I will check with you frequently to make sure you are comfortable. Again, I strive to
personalize your experience, so communication between client and therapist is vital.
Your massage will consist of actual massage for the entire time you have scheduled for, (i.e. 60 minute massage equals
60 minutes of actual massage) rather than allowing your assesment to take time away from your session.
